NAB reforms to be adopted after consensus: Rasheed
ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid says reforms are being introduced in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) ordinance to further smoothen the accountability process.
In a statement, he said NAB itself has admitted difficulties in the existing law to proceed against the corrupt.
Pervaiz Rashid said Imran Khan had earlier been of the view that appointment of chairman NAB was made to protect corruption, but now he has become a big fan of him. This is nothing, but duplicity.
Earlier talking to media in Lahore, the Minister said the process of accountability will continue; however, it will not become a hurdle in the way of progress.
He said all the political parties have expressed reservations over the conduct and process of accountability by NAB. These will be removed in consultation with the political parties.
