Asia Cup T20: Pakistan eye to brush off minnows UAE coached by Aaqib Javed
DHAKA: Pakistan will be eyeing its first win in the Asia Cup Twenty20 tournament as they face minnows United Arab Emirates on Monday evening at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla stadium, ARY News reported.
The match will start at 06.30 p.m. Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
Pakistan team suffered a five-wicket loss at the hands of India in the first match of the tournament. It should be noted that the whole team was dismissed after scoring 83 runs.
The green shirts have practised hard on the ground to record a win in the tournament. Pakistani batsman Shoaib Malik said the side made mistakes in the match against India and are trying hard not to repeat the blunders.
The team currently is placed at fourth place with zero points.
United Arab Emirates, coached by former Pakistani fast bowler Aaqib Javed, are at fifth place after losing both of their matches to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
