Protest on Modi’s arrival in Brussels: All Kashmiri leadership requested to participate
Modi will visit Brussels for the first India-European Union (EU) bilateral summit in four years.
According to a Press Release issued in Brussels, the protest would be started at 12:30 p.m. at Place Schumann (near Metro Stop Schumann) in front of EU Council and Commission Offices where Modi’s meetings are supposed to be held in the capital city.
The PR said, the protest is against Modi’s fascism particularly Indian brutalities against the people of occupied Kashmir and exploitation of Kashmiri students studying at different Indian Universities and as well fascist and exploitive policies of Modi’s government against various minorities and other oppressed segments of the society in India. Many other issues related the rights of people in Indian would also be raised during the protest. It is at the time when most recently harassment and torturing of students took place at JN University New Delhi specially Kanhaiya Kumar, the president of University Union was arrested on fake sedition charges for curtailing freedom of speech right.
Beside the Kashmiris, representatives of all suppressed people of India would participate in the protest in Brussels, the PR said.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed has requested the Kashmiris figures based in different European countries and as well as main stream political leadership of Azad Kashmir and Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) to attend the protest in Brussels.
He said, Kashmiris who are already deprived of justice in Indian rule, are suffering from state terrorism of New Delhi as the occupation regime imposed black laws in the Kashmir valley and present Modi’s regime created more severe situation in IHK due to its fascist attitude.
Mr Ali Raza Syed said, India wants to continue its occupation and it uses all unfair tactics for the purpose. Not only people in IHK are facing Indian policy of Kashmiri genocide while in the recent years, Kashmiris students studying in different Indian Universities are being gravely targeted and tortured.
Kashmir valley became a human slaughtering place where in the recent decades, thousands of Kashmiris were arrested, kidnapped and killed extra judicially by the occupation forces.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU however said, the arrests, torturing and killings cannot deter Kashmiris from their freedom struggle. We will continue to raise the voices against the Indian atrocities on the oppressed people of the occupied territory, Mr Ali Raza Syed emphasized.
Regarding matter of free trade access of India to the European market in the upcoming bilateral summit, the Chairman Kashmir Council CU demanded that EU should conditioned the trade with India to betterment of human rights situation in different parts of that country specially occupied territory of Kashmir. Being an influential international body, the EU can play important role for end human rights violation in IHK and a peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue which is vital for peace and prosperity in the region.
