KC-EU prepares to hold the protest on Modi’s visit to Europe
Kashmir Council EU has so far gained a huge support for holding its protest on occasion of upcoming Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Brussels on 30th March.
Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) is main organizer of the forthcoming protest program in front of the European Union Head Quarters in Brussels.
Addressing a Press Conference at Kashmir Council EU secretariat here, Chairman of the Council Mr Ali Raza Syed said, our broad campaign for securing public support in the context of the protest was very successful during a month.
Beside the main stream leaders of both sides of Kashmir, a number of the individuals and representatives of the different organizations have pledged their support for the protest.
The protest would be held at Place Schuman (near Metro Stop Schuman) in front of EU Council and Commission Offices where Modi’s meetings are supposed to be held in the capital city on 30th March (Wednesday).
Chairman Kashmir Council EU said, we have received very positive response of different circles so far and I hope that a large number of Kashmiris and their supporters and representatives of minorities and other oppressed people of India would attend the upcoming gathering in Brussels.
He once again appealed to the people from different circles and representatives various segments of the society to attend the protest.
He said, the protest is against Modi’s fascism particularly Indian brutalities against the people of occupied Kashmir and exploitation of Kashmiri students studying at different Indian Universities and as well fascist and exploitative policies of Modi’s government against various minorities including Sikh community and other segments of the society in India. Many other issues related the rights of people in the different Indian parts would also be raised during the protest.
The human Right abuses in Indian Held Kashmir go with impunity and are backed by a dedicated political will by the Indian government, he added. This dedication and impunity granted by the state of India makes the head of the state responsible for crimes against humanity that should not be ignored by the civilized world.
The Chairman of Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza also condemned the yesterday terrorist attack in Lahore and expressed sympathy with families of the victims of the tragic incident. Ali Raza Syed also deplored the brutal incidents of terrorism in Belgium, Turkey and France.
