A three-day Kashmir’s cultural exhibition inaugurated in Brussels
A three-day cultural exhibition on culture of Kashmir opened at Molenbeek area of Brussels on Friday’s evening.
Kashmir Council Europe (EU) organized the exhibition while a female city councillor of Molenbeak area from Pakistani Origin Shazia Manzoor hosted the event.
Mayor of Molenbeak Francoise Schepmans inaugurated the exhibition. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium Naghmana Hashmi was also present on the occasion. A number of cultural items including pieces of art of Kashmir displayed in the exhibition titled, “Beauty of Kashmir at Molenbeak”. The exhibition would be continued till 24th of April (Sunday).
A musical group would formed Kashmiri music during the exhibition which could help in raising culture of people of Kashmir and create awareness of about the region of Kashmir. A number of people from different walks of life attended the opening session of the exhibition and showed their solidarity with people of Kashmir.
On the occasion, Chairman Kashmir Council EU Mr Ali Raza Syed said, beside the culture of Kashmir, the objectives of the exhibition to update the people about latest situation in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK). Kashmir Council EU has so far held a number of the conferences, seminars and exhibitions in Belgium and other European countries in order to make aware the Europeans about Kashmir.
A “One-Million Signature Campaign” was started by the council for making attraction towards Kashmir issue some years back and so far a large number of people from different EU countries expressed their solidarity with the Kashmiris by making their signatures on the documents. The signature campaign would be continued until completion of one-million initials, Ali Raza Syed added.
