Is it too late to say sorry?
LOS ANGELES: Justin Bieber enraged fans of Prince after leaving an insensitive comment on rocker Andrew Watt’s touching Instagram tribute to the late music icon. While Watt dubbed the fallen star as “the last of the greatest living performers”, Bieber begged to differ with his own touching and heartfelt tribute that described how he was truly devastated by Prince’s death.
“My guitar idol … his connection to all his instruments yielded a sexually transcending aura and the world is just less cool without him walking on it,” Watt wrote. Bieber replied, “Well, not the last greatest living performer.”

Following this comment, some users suggested Bieber was referring to himself. “I’m content to say that Prince has more talent in his little toe nail than Beiber will ever have,” one follower wrote on the platform. “Surely, Bieber doesn’t count himself in the pantheon of the last great living artists, does he?” said another user, while a third called his comment entirely laughable. “He is not even the best among his contemporaries … let alone [him having] achieved legendary status and it is doubtful that he will ever reach there,” he added.
Prince was found dead at his Minnesota home on April 21. He rose to fame in the 1980s, with hit albums including 1999, Purple Rain and Sign O’ the Times.
