dailypeghamISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will highlight the country’s experience of combating terrorism and outline future strategy to curb this menace while raising key regional and bilateral issues with British officials as he starts a three day tour of UK.

During his visit, Nisar will also meet with his British counterpart Theresa May today (Tuesday) discussing regional security, matters relating to bilateral Pak-United Kingdom ties and ways and means to further strengthen them.

The minister arrived in London on Monday after completing a tour of the US where he attended a Special Session of United Nations General Assembly on World Drug Problem (UNGASS) and signed the Paris climate change agreement.

Later on Tuesday, Nisar will address the renowned British think-tank International Institute for Strategic Studies where he will highlight the security situation in Pakistan, sacrifices rendered by the Pakistani people and armed forces in fighting terrorism and future strategy to curb this menace.

On Wednesday he will call on British Security Advisor to Prime Minister Mark Lyall Grant to discuss matters pertaining to the Pakistan-Britain bilateral relationship, war against terrorism, regional situation, security related issues between the two countries, organised crimes and to enhance cooperation to stop illegal human trafficking and other important matters.

Following the meeting, he will participate in the annual dinner on behalf of Pakistan Society where he will interact with the Pakistani community.
