Indian army camp in IoK attacked
HANDWARA: An Indian army camp was attacked on Thursday morning by militants, according to reports from the Indian media.
Reports from the Indian media claimed that an Indian army camp near Handwara was attacked by militants. The militants attempted to enter the camp but were not allowed to do so by the Indian army. The firing allegedly took place near the headquarters of the 30 Rashtriya Rifles.
Indian media did not report any loss of life due to the firing.
Tensions are at an all-time high between nuclear-armed neighbours India and Pakistan, after the Uri attack in which nineteen Indian soldiers were killed. Hours after the investigation, India placed blame on Pakistan, which was denied by the latter.
