No harm in making foreign adviser a foreign minister: Talal
ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry said while speaking to Geo News program that there was no harm in making the foreign affairs adviser a full-time foreign minister.
Responding to one of the demands put forth by PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding the appointment of a foreign minister, Talal said that there was no harm in making the foreign affairs adviser a full-time foreign minister.
He further said that a foreign minister adviser has all the authorities and powers that a foreign minister enjoys. Responding to other allegations of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Talal Chaudhry said that though PML-N had secured fewer votes from Sindh, it had worked for the people of Sindh by providing them with various projects.
“Yes, we admit that we got fewer votes in Sindh. However, it is Nawaz Sharif who is providing Green Line Bus and the motorway to the province,” he said.
Talal Chaudhry also spoke about the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor and said that Sindh was the biggest beneficiary of the project. He said that PM Nawaz had presided over a meeting of the CPEC project in which all chief ministers had participated.
The PML-N-led government has received flak from detractors for not appointing a full-time foreign minister since 2013, when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif assumed office.
