KARACHI – Supreme Court Registry Karachi Tuesday sought a five-year record of revenue generated through billboards in Karachi.

A bench comprised Justice Amir Hani Muslim heard a case pertaining to report of Karachi Cantonment Board regarding hoardings and signboards installed with permission and without permission.

It had been informed in the report that hoardings had been removed across the city. The court asked how much money was collected from the billboards and signboards in the mega city.

Justice Amir Hani referring large hoardings on buildings asked, the respondents, had you seen such big and large boards in any other country. He added that there was even no space to move on a footpath due to such boards.

Later, the court seeking the record of revenue adjourned the hearing. – APP
