Leveling allegations now a new phenomenon in Pakistan’s history: Iqbal
LAHORE: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said leveling allegations was not a new phenomenon in the political history of Pakistan however, country’s law enforcement agencies were investigating allegations by former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal.
“If some solid evidences/factors come forth in the light of investigations then the relevant institutions would take action on them,” he responded during a media talk when a journalist asked him about accusations leveled by Kamal.
The minister said government was pursuing agenda of elimination of energy crisis, restoration of peace and putting the country’s economy on strong footings.
He said the government wants all politicians, intellectuals, media and professionals on board in exploring optimum benefits of the opportunities under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
To a question, the Minister said democratic system is taking its roots in the country, and now people are mature enough that they do not want any chaos and instability in the country.
