Merger of FATA with KP to eliminate terrorism, says Imran
PESHAWAR: Stressing over the merger of FATA with Khyber Pakhutnkhwa, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has stated it will eliminate terrorism.
Addressing a press conference here Wednesday, Imran Khan said FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be merged at the earliest, adding that after the end of Zarb-e-Azb military operation, the process of merger was to be finalized.
Opposing the idea to make FATA a separate province, Imran said, “It will be inappropriate. There is no other way except merger of FATA and KP. They should be merged.”
Noting the entire country backed the National Action Plan aimed at wiping out all terrorists from the country, he emphasised FATA needs to be settled to achieve NAP’s benefits.
Imran Khan also condemned recent terrorist attacks in Lahore, Peshawar and Mohmand Agency.
